Fomoco (Motorcraft) VV to Weber 34 IBF carburetor conversion kit for the 1982 - 1985 FWD Ford Escort 1600 with Automatic Transmission.
If you own such a Front-Wheel-Drive Ford Escort 1600 with an aging FoMoCo VV (Variable Venturi) carburetor, then you are probably very well aware of the fact that these carbs are slowly reaching the end of their working life and that refurbishing them is not really an option anymore.
Fuel consumption will go up, power will go down and trying to set the idle speed will become a major challenge.
Luckily, you are not the only one with this problem so the people at Weber set to work and have created this conversion kit.
With this set, the complete carburetor gets replaced with a brand new 34 mm Weber IBF carburetor with cable-operated manual choke.
It includes an air filter adapter so that your original airfilter can be reused and thus largely maintains the "under the hood" appearance.

Please note that the carburetor is jetted specifically for the 1.597cc engine with and Automatic Transmission.
